Hi, I'm Ariane Saltoris, and nerds like me struggle to find our place in this world.
Let's face it—life isn't easy for anyone, but it's especially challenging for those of us who swim against the current: the renegades, geeks, eccentrics, vampire enthusiasts, queer community, and gothic royalty. Anyone who marches to the beat of their own drum faces an uphill battle.
My writing explores deeply human themes and emotions, but I set them in worlds I find more fascinating than our own. I delve into dark folklore—Irish fae, demons, witches, spirits, and monsters. Through these elements, I hold a mirror to our society, reflecting our violence, behavior, rage, and joy—just like any other author. Yet despite tackling profound themes beyond mere fantasy fluff, my work isn't recognized as "real literature," particularly in Germany. It exists outside conventional boundaries, so it's dismissed.
But there are countless people who don't fit neatly into society's boxes and end up overlooked. People who—like me—love immersing themselves in alternative realities through LARPing, board games, fantasy novels, mystery thrillers, gothic culture, and cosmic horror, just to name a few. These individuals rarely receive the recognition they deserve because, believe it or not, we actually embrace being different.
That's why I'm offering to honor these kindred spirits by crafting biographies the way they would have wanted—featuring ravens perched on shoulders, detective personas, fairy identities, and everything in between. Because authenticity matters, now more than ever.
